Project Title: Cross-Curricular Collaboration for Improving Students' Financial Literacy Skills        Using Games

Presentation:
The project promotes cross-curricular and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of school education focusing on the topic of financial literacy knowledge and skills.

FINGO supports teachers and other teaching-related professions by providing training materials, training experience, and expertise in cross-curricular and interdisciplinary teaching, gamification, and real-base simulation techniques, in financial literacy, topics which are rare and very common.

The project's target group consisted of teachers and students with hearing impairments and other disabilities, categories of students requiring different learning approaches, more creative, visual, experiential, and practice-based oriented.

The project objectives were: 
- Raise awareness on the benefits of financial literacy knowledge and skills and equip over 12000 students from special learning and mixed schools with useful knowledge, skills and tools by developing best practices and stories collection of successful personal financial management, workshop and photo exhibition guidelines for financial and basic entrepreneurial skills based on real-case simulation techniques.

- Raise awareness, increase competence and equip 10000 teachers and educators from special education and mixed schools by providing them creative, effective, cross-curricular, game-based methodology in financial literacy skills consisting of a training package - curriculum and training materials, best practices and stories collection of successful personal financial management.

Participants: The main participants of the project activities were staff members of partners' organizations, teachers and students who work in high schools, vocational schools, and educational organizations daily and confront the need to improve financial literacy and basic entrepreneurship skills.

The main target groups for local activities were teachers and students, including participants with fewer opportunities – with low income, economic and social problems (from Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Italy, Cyprus, and Spain), health difficulties, ethnic and national minorities ( Italy, Spain and Turkey), students from refugees and other newcomers' families (Cyprus, Turkey and Italy, Spain), from disadvantaged urban and rural areas (Romania, Lithuania, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Cyprus), etc. Partners' schools and organizations will assist them in different ways to be part of this project.

As a coordinator of FINGO, ”Vasile Pavelcu” Special Technological High School of Iasi team consisted of Theodor Sirbuletu, Coca Marlena Vasiliu, Daniela Răducănescu, Constantin Romaniuc, Andreea Balan,  Andrei Cosmin Mocanu Irimiță and translators in LSR Gabriela Ionescu and Marinela Axinte.
